Just a brief entry this evening as we had rather a full and enjoyable day following yet another good night’s sleep that we are so very thankful to the Lord for. It was really precious to be able to take Annie out for lunch this afternoon. We met up with one of the young people from Manor Park who was back home from university for the weekend. A lovely time of fellowship and pizza! Annie radiated with beauty today. Looking across at her from the table it’s hard to believe something nasty is going on inside of her bones. She smiles. She laughs. She looks…stunning to me.
Once we got back home we tag-teamed on making some donuts. Annie’s donuts are something of local culinary legend. We have to keep this batch of donuts off the radar; usually we can have a crowd of young people at our home within minutes of Annie heating up the deep fat fryer, but these donuts are special reserve for our bonfire night fellowship with our dear friends and family in the Lord, The Eastwoods (nope, nobody in the family is actually named Clint…I know, it’s a shame!). Great food and fellowship and we enjoyed a little walk to a nearby firework show.
We have had a lovely day and we really do thank the Lord for it.
Right now, I hear Annie coughing and I need to close this entry so that I can go and be with her and pray over her.
I’ll leave with with this wonderful verse of hope just sent to me:
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” – Revelation 21:3-4

Those sausages and that cinnamon sweet potato mash were just lush too! And that Key Lime pie…I’ve eaten Key Lime pie in the home of Key Lime pie, Florida but when compared to yours it would just look like a slice of lime on a buttered cracker! Thank you so much for making my fave dessert better than I ever tasted it! Lush lush lush!
Hi Ryan n Annie
The aforementioned donuts were unanimously voted ‘best bar none’ there are just 2 left, so we could have a domestic on our hands later.:-)
